Strategic foresight

Strategic Foresight is a dynamic, investigative exploration of the future that allows for the optimal achievement of the objective strategies of any organization and in any area, using the ‘wisdom of the group’ as the source of information.

The strategic objectives of any organization represent the desire to acquire a certain business position, normally in the medium and long term. These objectives will be conditioned by scenarios such as, economic, political, health, security, etc.; that will facilitate or hinder the achievement of the strategic objectives.

The only way to foresee the future, when algorithmic-type quantitative tools are not available, is to carry out a projection and imagination exercise with groups of experts that allows us to approximate the scenarios around the future materialization of the strategic objectives.

Short-term operational planning manages the daily performance of the organization without losing sight of the final target, which is to achieve the strategic objectives.

It is normal to think that Strategic Foresight is a luxury that only large companies can afford. However, nowadays to carry out Strategic foresight exercises is within the economic scope of any SME.
